Autonomous Rover for Maze Exploration

While few engineering classes were available to me during my Spring 2025 in Madrid, I sought out many opportunities to improve my design and programming skills. Mechatronics was the only class I was able to take from the standard mechanical engineering curriculum, and I LOVED IT. After learning how to properly size a motor to a task, I dove into understanding the role of motor drivers and how to control them. The result was a semester-long sprint to design THE BEST MAZE-EXITING ROVER using nothing but an ultrasonic sensor and some ingenuity. The results (including footage of trial runs!) are included in the report below.
